Parking Reform Ambassadors

Parking Reform Network (PRN) is excited to collaborate with Strong Towns to empower Local Conversations across the country to host impactful, creative, and parking reform-focused parklets as part of Park(ing) Day 2025.

Our goal is to support official “PRN Parklets” hosted by members of Strong Towns Local Conversations. These official PRN Parklets will be part of a national campaign to raise awareness about parking reform, street activation, and community-based urbanism.

How it works

We’re inviting Local Conversations to apply to become one of the official PRN Parklets for Park(ing) Day 2025. To be eligible, teams must meet the following requirements:

  1. Submit Your Project to the Parking Day Map
The parklet project must be submitted to the official Parking Day map by August 15, 2025.
    • And make sure to check the last box on the form:

  2. Attend one of the following PRN Ambassador Trainee Sessions

What PRN Provides

Each selected PRN Parklet will receive:

  • A PRN Outreach Kit in August, including:
    • PRN-branded cap
    • Stickers
    • Laminated flyers explaining parking reform
    • Newsletter sign up sheet
  • Promotion via PRN’s social media and potential Strong Towns amplification

Role of Parklet Hosts

During Park(ing) Day, official PRN parklet hosts will:

  • Spend at least part of the day acting as a PRN Ambassador at the parklet
  • Engage with pedestrians about the event and PRN’s mission. Encourage them to subscribe to the newsletter or join the community.
