Parking minimum removal

On July 14, 2022, St. Petersburg eliminated minimum parking requirements for residential housing units in the downtown core that have 750 square feet or less. On September 12, 2024, the city created a new overlay district ((SunRunner TEC-Local Overlay) with no parking mandates.

Parking minimum reduction

On July 14, 2022, St. Petersburg reduced minimum parking requirements by 10% for affordable housing units, ADUs, and other properties located within 660 feet of a high-frequency transit route.
