Parking minimum reduction
Provo City currently has city code which grants an automatic 25% parking reduction for most of the Downtown zones (DT1, DT2, ITOD) and Mixed-Use zones (MU, NMU) which is over 300 acres of land. Additional parking reductions are available for commercial, industrial, public facilities or multi-family housing zones throughout the city which is over 7,700 acres of land that could use this reduction if granted by the Planning Commission. 1) A Transportation Demant Management (TDM) program and a Parking County Justification Study, 2) Providing Increased Bicycle Parking Spaces.
