Parking benefit district

Old Pasadena installed parking meters as part of a parking benefit district in 1993. The funding goes towards improved sidewalks and streets, tree planting, historic lighting, and creating additional parking, maintenance, and safety projects. The district generates $1-1.8 million in revenue per year.
