Parking minimum removal

The city council passed an ordinance eliminating parking minimums for up to 10 units of housing in the downtown mixed use zone (DMU). Lowell already didn't require parking minimums for non-residential uses in the DMU.

All non-residential uses in the DMU district and/or within the boundaries of the Artist Overlay District are exempt from the listed parking requirements if a publicly-owned off-street parking facility is located within one thousand five hundred (1,500) feet of an entrance to the use.
