Parking reforms in Lansing , MI

Parking minimum removal

The City of Lansing has a new zoning code passed and implemented that removes parking minimums from the downtown core and reduces the minimums in the downtown edge and commercial/transit corridors. There is also a city-wide provision that can be envoked to reduce the minimum of any development by up to 20%. The parking reductions follow the zoning districts rather than the land use.
