Parking reforms in Hampton
Virginia, United States

Parking minimum removal

Within the PH-1 and PH-2 Districts, all non-residential uses, except religious facilities, colleges/universities, schools, auditoriums and theaters are exempt for the first 5,000 square feet. In mixed-use districts, the first 3,000 square feet of pedestrian oriented ground floor commercial retail space is exempt from minimum parking requirements. On May 8, 2024, the city removed parking mandates from the Overlay - Coliseum Central (O-CC) District under certain conditions.
